The statistic cited in the film regarding the U.S. prison population needs updating:
As of June 30, 2006, the nation’s prison and jail populations increased by 62,037 from 2005 to total 2,245,189 (citation).
When the video was produced in 1997, the prison population was about 1,200,000.
